Of course that means more range time for me!!! Last week I bought her a Viridian green laser specifically designed for the P22. She is getting quite adept and handling it and shooting it. Normally these happen near the end of the session when she is most likely limp-wristing her grip from fatigue. After several hundred rounds we have only had a few FTF. The gun doesn't beat her up plus you can shoot all day for $5. I bought a couple boxes of Remington 22LR HV at Gander Mountain for about $22 for 525 rounds. Anyway, the P22 has proven itself extremely reliable and quite accurate over the last couple months. Plus there are similar guns, including offerings from Walther, that would make good step-up guns when she's ready for a larger caliber. She liked the way the P22 felt in her hand and to me that's a good start. I took her to the gun shop and checked out their offerings in 22LR. It was creating problems with flinching and made her not want to learn. She didn't like anything I had in my arsenal.too much recoil. I personally keep a 45 in my night stand drawer and carry it concealed (with proper permit). With all the home invasions etc I decided a few months ago I wanted my wife to be able to handle a gun.
